Books, Books and More Books!

This past weekend I attended my 5th annual CIPA (Colorado Independent Publisher's Association) Writer's conference. Stellar. Incredible. Mind-Blowing.

Every year it gets better and better and every year I'm sure that it can't. This year the acquisitions editor for People magazine was one of the many speakers that opening my eyes to greater opportunities! The president of Bowker was also there! Double WOW! She was incredible! *Bowker is THE location where every writer in the world must purchase their required ISBN (International Standard Book Number) in order to sell their book to others.

The book I'm nearly finished with wasn't started until one month ago. I never even wanted to write this book but every day I'm convinced that it's the right thing to do. The title: In Search of a Better Truth, Understanding and Overcoming Asperger's Syndrome. It's my educational journey over the last nearly 5 years that began with my then non-verbal son who now, at 7 1/2 has written TWO books himself!

Books, books and more books... he's working on his third book and I'm hoping to send my third to press within a few months! I'd actually like to send his first two to press one of these days soon, too!
